Ottsville Intro to Qigong
Take some time to take care of yourself! Cultivate mental and physical balance and stay strong through the use of exercises designed to gently stretch and strengthen. This 3-hour workshop teaches the 5-phase routine and is a pre-requisite for more advanced classes. 10 students max.

About The Event
Come try the self-healing practice called qigong ("chee-gung"), an ancient form of moving meditation used for self-healing and stress reduction. A branch of Chinese medicine, qigong is effective both on its own and may also boost other modalities (e.g., reflexology, massage, acupuncture, etc.).
At this workshop we will learn the 5-phase routine and use it to practice simple but surprisingly powerful movements to get into a state of deep relaxation and activate our innate healing powers. Students leave class feeling great and will walk away with a framework and some exercises they can practice on their own.
Note: This introductory workshop is a pre-requisite for subsequent weekly qigong classes at The Room and other locations (separate registration required). Students attending the Intro partway through a series of weekly classes will only need to pay for the number of classes left in the series.
All ages and abilities are welcome! No experience or special equipment is required. Please wear comfortable shoes (or plan to go barefoot) and clothing that allows you to move freely.

Students who cancel at least 7 days before the start of class will receive a full refund. No refunds less than 7 days before class start.
