What is Qigong?
Qigong (“chee-gung”) is a beautiful moving meditation and self-healing practice related to (but much simpler than) tai chi. We work on mental and physical balance by coordinating movement, breath and awareness. Qigong is immediately relaxing, and regular practice helps the body heal and stay strong through the use of exercises designed to gently stretch and strengthen inside and out.
Laura began studying qigong as a way to reduce stress. She had not connected with yoga and struggled to meditate, but she found qigong to be the perfect marriage of the two. The desire to dig more deeply into Chinese medicine led her to qi balancing, which she enthusiastically added to her offerings.
She created Tao and Zen Healing to pass on these amazing arts to others. Laura is certified in Zen Wellness, Flowing Zen, and Healer Within programs. She is a member of the American Tai Chi and Qigong Association and a member and vice president of the National Qigong Association.
